User Data Deletion

This page explains how a Stone Mart customer can request deletion of their account and personal data. The same deletion policy applies to the Stone Mart website, Android app, and iOS app.

How to delete your data

From the mobile app

  1. 1Open the Stone Mart Android or iOS app.
  2. 2Sign in with the phone number used on your account.
  3. 3Go to Profile and tap Delete Account.
  4. 4Type DELETE to confirm. The request is sent to our deletion endpoint.

From the website or email

If you use the website, cannot access the app, or want to request deletion in writing, email us from your registered email address or include your registered phone number.

Request deletion by email

Subject line: Delete my Stone Mart account. We verify ownership before deleting data so another person cannot delete your account.

Data deleted or disconnected from your account

  • Your profile details such as name, email, phone-linked account profile, date of birth, gender, and avatar.
  • Saved delivery addresses.
  • Server-side cart and wishlist records linked to your account.
  • Push notification tokens for Android and iOS, so order or marketing notifications stop.
  • Product reviews and review photos that are linked to your account, where deletion is legally and operationally possible.
  • Crash reporting and analytics user identifiers are disconnected from your identity.

Data we must retain for legal or safety reasons

Some records cannot be erased immediately because Stone Mart must keep them for tax, accounting, payment, fraud prevention, courier dispute, refund, or legal compliance. Where possible, we disconnect these records from your active account.

  • Order, invoice, payment, and shipment records: retained for up to 7 years where required by Indian GST, accounting, and tax obligations.
  • Support conversations: retained for up to 2 years after resolution, unless a longer period is required for a dispute, refund, chargeback, or legal claim.
  • Anonymous analytics: aggregate statistics that do not identify you may be retained to understand store performance.

Before you delete

  • Deletion is permanent. Deleted profile, addresses, wishlist, cart, and review data cannot be restored.
  • Active orders are not cancelled automatically. Cancel eligible orders before deleting, or contact support.
  • Refunds and warranties still continue. We keep the legally required transaction record so existing refunds, replacements, and support cases can be completed.

Timeline and verification

In-app deletion requests are processed immediately when the account owner is signed in and the server accepts the request. Email or support requests are verified first and are normally completed within 7 business days.

For email requests, we may ask for OTP verification on the registered phone number before deleting the account.
